Terms of Service
Last updated: May 2026
These terms apply when you request or receive service from Shakur Roadside Assistance ("we", "us", "our"). By requesting service by phone, you agree to these terms. If anything here is unclear, ask us on the call — we'd rather explain up front.
1. Who We Are
Shakur Roadside Assistance is a locally owned, light-duty mobile roadside assistance business operated by Mhretab, based in Edmonton, Alberta. We are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Service is requested by phone only: +1 (780) 264-0758.
2. Services We Provide
We provide the following six services, performed at your vehicle's location, for passenger cars, SUVs, light trucks, and minivans:
- Mobile tire repair (plug and patch)
- Mobile tire change (your spare, or a supplied replacement)
- Emergency battery boost
- Mobile battery replacement
- Car lockout service (damage-free entry)
- Emergency fuel delivery (10–15 litres of gasoline or diesel)
We do not provide towing. We do not own or operate tow trucks and cannot transport, winch, or recover vehicles — including from ditches, snowbanks, or collision scenes. If your vehicle needs to be towed, you will need to contact a towing company.
3. Service Areas
We serve Edmonton, St. Albert, Sherwood Park, Fort Saskatchewan, and Leduc, Alberta. We do not dispatch outside these areas.
4. Arrival Times
Our typical arrival time is 30–40 minutes. This is an estimate, not a guarantee — traffic, weather, and demand (especially during Edmonton cold snaps) can extend it. We'll give you our honest ETA when you call, and update you if it changes.
5. Pricing and Payment
- We quote the price by phone before we dispatch. The price you're quoted is the price you pay unless the job turns out to be materially different from what was described (we'll tell you before doing any extra work).
- Payment is due when the service is completed.
- For fuel delivery, you pay for the fuel delivered; there is no hidden service charge beyond the quoted price.
- If we arrive and the service cannot be performed for reasons within your control (for example, the vehicle is not at the stated location), a reasonable call-out fee may apply. We'll tell you this fee on the phone before dispatch.
6. Your Responsibilities
- Accurate information: give us your correct location, vehicle details, and a description of the problem.
- Vehicle authority: you confirm you own the vehicle or are authorized to request service for it. For lockout service, we may ask for identification and proof of ownership or authorization (such as registration or insurance in your name) before opening the vehicle. We will refuse lockout service if authority cannot be reasonably established.
- Correct fuel type: for fuel delivery, you are responsible for confirming your vehicle's correct fuel type (gas or diesel) when you call.
- Safety: while waiting, stay in a safe location away from live traffic.
7. Service Limitations
- Unrepairable tires: punctures in the sidewall, large tears, or severely worn tires cannot be safely repaired. In those cases we'll offer to install your spare instead. We never perform unsafe repairs.
- Worn or damaged components: vehicles sometimes have pre-existing conditions — seized or over-torqued lug nuts, corroded battery terminals, worn locks, aged tires. We work carefully and professionally, but components already at the end of their life can fail during any service. We are not responsible for the failure of parts that were already worn, corroded, seized, or damaged.
- Right to refuse: we may decline or discontinue service if the location is unsafe, if the vehicle appears to be involved in unlawful activity, if vehicle authority cannot be established, or in cases of abusive behaviour toward our operator.
8. Limitation of Liability
We carry insurance and take real care with your vehicle. To the maximum extent permitted by Alberta law:
- Our total liability for any claim arising from a service is limited to the amount you paid us for that service.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (missed appointments, lost income, alternate transportation costs).
- We are not liable for pre-existing damage or the failure of components that were already worn, corroded, or damaged before we arrived, as described in section 7.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for our own negligence causing new damage to your vehicle.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Alberta.
10. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The version posted on this page at the time you request service is the version that applies.
